Designing for a UK Healthcare Recruitment Platform

CareHires is a UK healthcare recruitment platform that connects care providers with qualified healthcare professionals while supporting temporary workforce operations through a back-office management system.
At Data Sprig, I worked closely with the Lead Product Designer across the public-facing website and Bid4Care, the internal workforce management platform used by recruitment teams to manage staffing workflows.
My role
Designing the public-facing experience
I contributed to responsive marketing pages for CareHires, designing layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile to communicate the platform's value proposition clearly and consistently.
Understanding the staffing workflows
Bid4Care supported recruitment teams managing temporary staffing operations. Before designing the interfaces, we mapped the information architecture to understand how the different workflow steps connected.
This helped us structure the experience before moving into detailed interface design.
Working through the flow before UI
Early wireframes in Whimsical helped us explore the structure and flow before moving into Figma.
At this stage, the focus was on working through the workflow and information hierarchy rather than visual polish.
Turning the workflow into a working interface
My primary focus was designing interfaces for Bid4Care, the internal workforce management platform used by recruitment teams to manage day-to-day staffing operations.
I translated the explored workflows into high-fidelity interfaces in Figma, working within the product's existing direction and maintaining consistency across the experience.
What this project taught me
Working across both a customer-facing website and an internal operational platform strengthened my ability to design for different user contexts. It also taught me how to work through complex workflows, extend an existing design direction, and balance business requirements with usability.
